Tight Lines Café offers in home cooking classes. Each class offers something different. Some classes are menu specific like crusted rack of lamb or chicken picatta. Other classes may be broad based like salad dressing and stocks. One thing consistent with all classes is we always cook a full meal and then sit down to enjoy it. We will taste wine (if the menu is appropriate) and discuss what we’ve created. We most likely will send you home with leftovers and some homework if you’re in a class series.
Check the calendar for dates, menus and prices. The menu always changes so check often. Also, if you have something you’d like to learn to cook, email me and we can set up a class. We like to limit class size to no more than 4. Learn how to determine portion sizes, pick the best meat and produce, and save some money. Every class is hands on so be prepared to stir, slice, sauté, and more. We’ll teach you how to make food “pretty” so it looks great on the plate.
From soups to sauces, Chili’s to ceviche, let’s help you become a better chef. Classes start between 5:30 and 6:00 pm and last approximately 3 hours. Can’t come here? We’ll come to you. Have pans, will travel. With a little prep, we can hold a class in your house. Throw a party and we’ll help you with the planning, shopping and cooking. The best way to learn how is to do it!
